Ms. Cassandra Barber is PhD candidate (ABD) in the School of Health Professions Education (SHE), Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, at Maastricht University and sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto. Ms. Barber is a trained demographer, completing a master’s degree in sociology, specializing in migration and ethic relations. Using a multidisciplinary approach to quantify social problems, Ms. Barber’s program of research focuses broadly on social accountability in health professions education and explores how large-scale data can be used to estimate links between educational outcomes and population health to identify areas for improvement.
