Tamara Carver is the Director of the Office of Ed-TECH (Education Technology and E-learning Collaboration for Health) located at the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for McGill University. She is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences Education and a certified instructional designer. For more than a decade, she has spearheaded the creation of highly successful international and faculty development blended education programs. Her current work focuses on using extended reality in health professions education. Professor Carver also leads a $758,000 Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)-funded project developing ‘TOTAL eLearning’ an online education program for care partners of people living with dementia.
